China-ASEAN Hospital Cooperation Alliance, established in June 2018, has 195 medical institution members from China and ASEAN countries such as Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. China-ASEAN HCA has successfully established two special cross-border medical associations and three specialty cooperation development platforms, namely: Cross-Border Medical Association for Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, Cross-Border Medical Association for Emergency Specialties, the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Cooperation Development Platform, the Organ Transplantation Specialty Cooperation Development Platform, and Thalassemia Prevention & Control Specialty Cooperation Development Platform.
